Alexa Charles
Executive Director
Alexa serves as our Executive Director. Her goal is to support all God is doing in Haiti. She is amazing at making connections and sharing about our work with just about anyone. She leads the way in creating opportunities for people to join us in giving life.
She currently lives in Bergenfield, NJ with her husband, Jean Paul & their son, Jayden and daughter, Eden.
Karen Bohrer
Haiti Marketplace Coordinator
Karen serves as our Haiti Marketplace Coordinator. She passionately leads our online shop as well as many of our in-person Haiti Marketplace events. Her love for Haitian artwork is evident when you meet her. When she visits Haiti she loves to connect with our Artisan partners to learn more about their craft, their stories and their dreams.
She lives in Princeton, NJ where she works as an Account Executive for a brokerage firm. She is also a calligrapher & loves making pretty letters!
Jean Paul Charles
Ansanm Director
Jean Paul serves as our Ansanm Director. Born & raised in Haiti, he works alongside the Ansanm team in Haiti in creating a program that holistically supports families.
He currently lives in Bergenfield, NJ with her husband, Jean Paul & their son, Jayden and daughter, Eden. When he is not working as a mason for a concrete company, he loves to work out, play soccer, watch movies, and be with his family.
Michele Maize
Sponsorship Director
Michele serves as our Sponsorship Director. Her goal is to forge relationships between sponsors and the children & their families.
A mother to two grown daughters, she currently lives in Tacoma, WA with her best friend & husband of almost 30 years, Dan. When it’s not raining, you will find her tending to their kitchen garden or exploring the beaches of Puget Sound.
